Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

For the last 20 mins or so, I am stuck in "Logging in to game server" when I try to join the PvP server. I can however, smoothly log in to the PvE server and even play normally there without trouble.

I doubt it is full because I would get the queue timer instead. Did only the PvP server crash?

3 hours later, the same situation persists, I can connect flawlessly to the PvE server, play in it, and log out just fine. I can't connect to the PvP server where my main characters and guild are. Emptied WTF folder, nothing changed.

Any ideas please?

Tried it.
"Connecting - Connected - Authenticating - Success!" at Success! it gets stuck and sends me after a while of waiting to the realm selection menu.

English, select realm type, etc. If I choose PvP, it sends me to Nostalrius Begins PvP, but it once more stays stuck at "logging in to server".


Maybe this will be of use to mention: For the last 4-5 days, whenever I logged in to the game, I had had to always go through the realm selection phase, always picking English - PvP, before I got connected. It worked fine, but it was never the automatic launch into the character selection page.

Now, it seems that I still get stuck with the realm selection interface, but can no longer actually enter the PvP server.

Why it happens like this with this one, but the PvE server is the whole opposite (select realm, 2 seconds of waiting, and I reach the character selection menu just fine), is complete mystery to me...

Are the IPs from the 2 servers different? If so should I run a tracert/pathping test and post it here?

Uninstalled the game, currently downloading again the nostalrius client (will be done in about 40 minutes or so) and will reinstall to see if anything changes.

Unfortunately didn't work.

I uninstalled my client. Redownloaded the zip version from Nostalrius (brand new file), unzipped and installed, and when I log in, the problem persists: When trying to log in to the PvP server I'm stuck at "logging in to game server", but if I choose the PvE server, it goes through without a single problem....

try flushing your DNS

not sure if that helps though (actually doubt it)

Does this tell you anything at all about my connection issue? I travelled yesterday and am using currently a new IP (actually faster download/upload rates, and my latency in the PvE server is even lower to what I usually have), maybe there is some incompatibility between it and the PvP server?
