Wish to buy my friend an epic mount

I wish to give my friend the gold to buy his epic mount. I have seen so many accounts banned for buying gold and such. Is there any safer method of doing this?

If you're worried about getting banned, the only thing I can think to do is, to petition a GM before doing it, and take screenshots of the conversation, just to make the team aware, that way incase something does happen, you'll have the GM and the screenshots to corroborate your story.
