Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Cannot log in im stuck due to clicking join on the wrong server i joined ISVV2 test realm by accident and now due to server restarts i got stuck in that server on log in how do i change this im scared i've lost my account

You can press enter at the exact right time during connecting / authenticating so that you'll be shown the server list again .

Either that, or there's a "change realm" button, on the char cration screen that'll display all the realms.

You won't have access to the other realms. If you select one, you'll get stuck in a disconnect cycle because they are rejecting your login. To get out of this, click the cancel button or hit escape near the end of the prompts. It may take a few tries to time this right, but when you do, it'll take you back to the realm select screen. Alternately, you could change the realmlist to another server, connect to it(get to the character select screen), then switch back to Nostalrius. This'll cause the client to hit the realm select screen again. There are probably more ways to fix this issue, but I don't know them all yet. If more ways are known, they can be posted. Remember that you only want the "Nostalrius Begins" realm, and that once the choice is made, the client will remember it for you. You don't have to select it again unless you connect to a different server then come back.

This fix won't reset any of your other in-game settings. A file called Config.wtf should be located in your WTF folder. If opened with wordpad it should look something like this:

Close wow.exe if it's open. Find the line saying SET realmName "[servername]" and replace it with SET realmName "Nostalrius Begins". Don't forget the quotes. Save the file and restart WoW, it should now connect you to the correct server and retain all your other settings.
