Getting disconnected

by Thenoch » Tue Nov 03, 2015 6:13 pm

Keep getting disconnected a few seconds after log in. It takes sometimes several attempts to even get in, then a few seconds later it says I'm disconnected form the server. Internet is fine. Checked antivirus, windows firewall, deleted WTF and WTB folders, tried a VPN for France (just in case), still nothing. I was on earlier today for several hours with no issue. I'm in US East.

Edit: I pinpointed the issue everyone has in common. It seems to be an issue with the login server. As long as you aren't making character, or sitting at the character select screen idle too long, it works fine. Although it can take multiple logins to work correctly.

I'm stuck at authenticating then it says Disconnect from server. I was able to play for a few hours this morning also. I saw the link were yesterday's problem was resolved (100%).

Just curious if this is on my end at all.

US East Coast (forgot to add that)

For me it seems fine as long as I don't linger at the login screen, (such as making a new character etc.) If i immediately log in, it works fine. Without a VPN or anything special. I still have issues logging in though. I have to login a couple of times typically before it will let me in. It will say "Disconnected from server" immediately, but upon retrying a couple of times, it works.

Edit: Talking out of my ass here, but from the look of it maybe it's just something effecting the login server?

Same, from the EU in my case.

I literally just says 'disconnected' as soon as I try to log in, no error was given that day ;). Sorry I can't help out with more info.

No official statements about it. All I can tell you is just keep trying. It seems to be an issue with the login server, once you're in game its fine. Although I can honestly say I didn't have the same kind of issue you're describing. The most trouble I had was trying to make a character, and was why I made this thread in the first place. Once I was in game it was fine, and only took me 3-4 tries to log in. Could be that it's an intermittent problem, and would make sense, because it would be based on the number of people trying to log in at the same time as you. I noticed when I tried to log in later at night I had zero issue sitting at the character select etc.
