VPN Connection to the Server Required Outside Europe

Currently players are still required to use a vpn since the problems which occured yesterday should they live outside of Europe... I fear this will hurt the server to an extreme extent if this is not fixed asap. The average player does not use or know how to use a VPN and they will eventually give up, I really hope this can be fixed soon and that it doesnt hurt the non-european community which is vast.

EDIT: Apparently some people arent required to use it anymore I encountered this issue however im not sure about other Australian players.

EDIT: VPN No longer required however large lag issues on oceanic connections

I'm from the U.S., and other than yesterday's peering issues I've had no trouble.

nah bro it doesnt affect our connection at all really it just forwards your ip address to another ip so that it looks like you are playing from a different country, all aussies still have 350-500ms lag except at the moment the server is lagging like crazy for me e.g 1500 ms I am not having this problem with any other game/program.... its really killing wow for oceanics.

Edit sever and website still lagging to a ridiculous extent, but dont require a vpn anymore

Oh true, ah well thanks dude. Yeah I'm on about 350 ping at the moment, slowly getting used to it from the 15 ping on retail haha
