Loot bug in parties

Hello everyone,

I have a very unique bug. I asked for help in the guild and on world chat, but everyone was surprised and they couldn't help. Very often I can't loot corpses in a party until someone else picks up something from the corpse. So it happens in most cases (about 75%), and I think I experience this bug since level 1, but now as I take part of dungeon runs, do elite quests in groups more often, it started to become annoying. I have to add that I use a lot of addons, but I tested it, and the bug exists when all the addons are disabled. Also, it happens only in parties, so when I am alone I can loot perfectly. I have a theory, which may be bullsh*t: so since the bug occurs very often, but NOT ALWAYS (I can instantly loot - let's say - every 5th mob), I have a strange idea that I can loot from those corpses which I hit first. Or maybe (I don't know about the looting system of WoW), the game chooses a random player who is the "killer" of the mob (perhaps the player who have dealt the most damage to the mob) and when I am the chosen one, then I can loot instantly. OK, sorry for the long text. Here is a video of the bug I recorded after disabling every addon. (Watch my cursor.)

Thank you in advance for your help.

Isn't it normal for you to only be able to loot every other 3rd, or 4th, or even 5th mob depending on how many people are in the party and what the loot settings are set to? I believe the default does a round robin style where the first party member can loot and then the next and then the next.

Its possible I'm misunderstanding the bug you are talking about though.

I'm not sure if you are trolling or simply new to WoW. That is how loot funtions by default when grouped.

 Awkward... I was playing WotLK and Cataclysm on a blizzlike private server for years. There Group Loot was the basic loot system when you joined a party and everyone in the group was able to loot every corpse immediately. Then the whole thing there was bugged? :o

Group loot works two ways.
-Everyone takes a turn looting a non-boss body. One at a time.
-If someone doesn't take their item after looking at it, it turns into free-for-all on that particular corpse.

It sounds like the previous servers you played on never set up loot properly.

In your video, the other player has chosen to leave behind the gray bone. It then turns free-for-all and anyone else in the group can pick it up.
