Befouled Water Globe bugged drop.

Hi guys,

I killed Tideress in Ashenvale a few days ago and got the quest start item "Befouled Water Globe". I started the quest and went out and about doing quests in Barrens. Since my log was full, I dropped the quest gotten from the item, called The Befouled Element. I did this because I could then keep the quest item in my bags and re-accept it when my log had more room. Now, a few days later - I do not have the item anymore in my bags and I ran all the way to Tideress for the quest item again, however after 5 kills, he has not dropped it for me (100% drop rate). I believe that this quest has now bugged for me and wonder what I can do to fix this issue. The quest is important for me as it leads to a BFD chain.

It's not bugged. You must have the quest "Stonetalon Standstill" active in your quest log in order for Tideress to drop the befouled water globe, as I imagine you've already completed "Stonetalon Standstill," since, like you said, it's been a few days. Unfortunately, you will no longer be able to obtain the quest "The Befouled Element."

You are kidding me? You have to have it active in your quest log?!

Well I tried it now - I had not completed "Stonetalon Standstill" neither did I have it in my log when I first got the "Befouled Water Globe". However, I could see that people suggested that this may be a requirement on AoWoW. However, I had a guy share the quest with me - killed Tideress 3 times and still no drop. I firmly believe that this quest has bugged for me, and cannot a GM send the item to me or something? Really frustrating.

Partially fixed it. I spoke to the guy I had to return the Befouled Water Globe for the quest "The Befouled Element" in Silvertree Post - Mastok Wrilehiss. He had the next quest in the chain ready for me to accept "Je'neu of the Earthen Ring". I took it and since the quest item is a part of this quest as well, I got it in my bags.

However, I wanted to start the quest prior in the chain "The Befouled Element" - but I could not do so. The quest description popped up, but since I was "already on that quest" I couldn't accept it - this is perhaps the "bug" that has affected my character even though I do not have this quest in my quest log.
