Copyright infringement?

by hattonjm » Sun Nov 08, 2015 10:58 pm

Greetings Nostalrius Administration! A friend of mine got a call from comcast who said that they detected a file on his computer (wow 1.12) and he must remove it or they will discontinue his service due to copyright infringement by of Blizzard. What is this all about? Have you guys seen this before?

Lol, can Comcast really detect files on your computer? Wtf. I have Verizon and the only time I've ever received a notice is because I torrented a movie (it was an awful movie btw, 0/10). WoW 1.12 isn't even copyright infringement, it's still owned by Blizzard. They're dumbasses if this is real. Playing on a private server isn't illegal, as you bought the game. Running one is, however they rarely crack down.

However, on second thought. They probably saw him downloading it illegally, like through torrents. So there's that.
The level of whining about bans on the forums is at an all time industrial level.
