Hunter pet bug _ tried to report in Tuleap- HELP

hello all
I have tried to report this through official ways but still waiting for the registration to complete
my problem is this
I have a pet
it is always red needs feeding, I feed it over and over,
sometimes it goes yellow , never green then my pet just runs away.
this is somewhat annoying and is it correct?
also i am unable to learn growl Level 1 - i can get level 3 growl at L20
I cannot train my pet at all
now i have either gone mental and forgotten how hard it was or something is wrong
Please help me

What kind of pet do you have?

Buy higher level than food you can eat. It will gain happiness quicker.
Then once you finish that trial portion of having the pet, you get the beast training ability in your spellbook which allows you to teach things you've learned from the pet trainer.

When you first tame one, they're very hungry and hard to keep happy.
