Hi Nost community,

I have been having an issue for a while where i get muted from the general, trade and world chat channels and i would love if you guys could help me solve it. I think it has to do with item linking or one of my addons. If i use the following macro:

Code: Select all
/2 WTS [Glowstar Rod of Healing]
/3 WTS [Glowstar Rod of Healing]

and spam it 3 times. The first time it pastes both messages, the second time only the first message (/2) and the third and subsequent times nothing. After the third activation i am completely muted from the channels, neither the macro or manually typing works. It is important to note that i don't get the red warning message the server sends when someone reaches their characters per minute cap. Actually if i continue to spam this macro i will get blocked with this message after around 8 activations. I created this macro using the following script:

Code: Select all
/script MacroFrameText:Insert("[Glowstar Rod of Healing]")

These are the following addons i am using:

    Lazypig
    AddOnOrganizer
    AtlasLoot[Pre-TBC Edition]
    Auctioneer
    Bagnon
    Bagnon_Core
    Bagnon_Forever
    Bagnon_Options
    Banknon
    Enchantrix
    EnhTooltip
    GMail
    Prat
    BeanCounter
    Stubby

I have disabled the spam filter checkbox in WoW's Interface options and the chat mute from Lazypig options. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Nega.

Just a thought. Maybe you should not spam it and send the message once?

I just mentioned the term to represent how i was testing the channel. Aside from this circumstance, i don't spam the chat. I could wait for 5 minutes between the activations and the issue would persist.

Greetings,

There are very stringent automated anti-spam measures in place for low level characters. It is possible that this is blocking your messages. The best solution if this is the problem is to use a character above level 15 for advertising wares in this manner.
