Cannot chat! Please help.

I have searched around a bit but cant seem to find anything about the issue I am experiencing. I am on the PVP server and when I log in I cannot chat at all in /1 General chat. I can /say - /yell, but after a few min that ability goes away too. This is really degrading my experience, as I cannot chat with other new players or form parties . Has anyone else seen this issue and know of a way to resolve it. I have attached a pic of my chatlog when I try and use /1
EDIT - Seems chat was capped at level 5, yet im still having issues. After being able to chat in general chat for a bit I logged to add an addon, came back in and now I cant chat again.
EDIT 2 - Was on all morning and chat was working fine, started having a conversation with a few players and then mid convo, poof...chat stops working.
