Problem with dousing in MC

Today when we killed Garr someone doused the rune before Garr was killed. The Quintessence was removed from Rummy's bag, but when Garr was killed the flames came back to the rune. So we tried to douse it again, but it wasn't possible to target it.
We right-click the Quintessence in the bag and then try to click on the rune, but it was not possible. When we right-clicked the rune without first right-clicking the Quintessence it said that the rune had already been doused. Two different people tried to re-douse the rune.
Fine, we thought it was just a problem with the animation so we went on. But after dousing the last rune Majordomo was not spawned.
Then we tried to log everyone out of the raid and then run back to the rune to see if it was clickable. It still was not.
We will attempt to kill Majordomo and Ragnaros this Sunday instead. But will the rune be clickable then?
Raid ID is 6713.
In the future we will do our best not to douse the run mid-fight again
