Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Hello, I want to do this quest chain for the Ring.
I am using questie addon, this displays the quest on the map for "Find Myranda", which is a quest in the chain. However, when I talk to Trion, he does not give me any quest.

I spoke to Myranda and she gives me no quest either.

How do I continue with this quest chain?

While on this quest neither Tirion nor Myranda will give you a "new" quest. You can talk to Myranda if you need another disguise and then move to Hearthglen and speak with Highlord Taelan Fordring. He is inside of Mardenholde Keep

I don't have Of Love of Family quest.

Can I still go into Stratholme and just get the picture without having it?

You just need someone to share the quest with you.

cant do this quest for 3 days now. tirion is bugged in a tower way before hearthglen. I can take the escort quest but nothing happens after that

I've seen two people in world chat mention that the NPC is stuck in the tower. I think there is another thread here to that effect. This is on the PVE realm. On the Bug tracker we see about 9 mentions of NPC bugging out somewhere along the way, but they all appear to be in different places and none of these are recent posts. It's been about a month since he's been reported. It must be a stand alone event each time it happens. I know I had problems on the PvP realm when I did it some months back. Since those past posts are being marked as "duplicate", I don't know how successful posting again would be.
