[Tech] Mini-freezes on new laptop

Hey guys! I hope you can help me with my problem.
I bought a new laptop, with Nvidia Geforce 950M GTX, playing on Windows 10. Drivers are up-to date, and got no problem on other games.
So after opening a quest dialog, opening a chest, or like every minutes I get a mini-screen-freeze (like 1 second or less), and I even hear my laptop loading sound (my fan kicks on for that second) . I talked with other guys who got the same problem, all got some Nvidia video card, and this problem not occour only to me.
What do you think, what can cause this? Any idea how to solve? Or if anyone can give further infos on this problem, that would be great.

Edit: it only, and ONLY happens in vanilla wow. Retail wow or any other game runs smooth, no problem there at all.

I would be an asshole saying I am happy that others got this problem too :D
A week passed since I wrote this, no solution yet. I hope someone actually knows something, or what can cause this.

Ouch, maybe it's an issue with that type of videocard. All I can think is try downgrading the videocard drivers, use an older version and try that out. Or else simply try to play on your cpu's onboard graphics.

no, im playing without any problems with the same card model and newest drivers

to OP: if you are using a bunch of addons, try to increase the available memory to like 150MB+ (character screen -> addons -> top right)

could be a problem with your harddisk as well, is it SSD or SATA?

Windows 10 is no problem at all (beside of massive lack of privacy). Just set compatibility mode to Win7 if a program isn't running as intended.

You could try that as well OP.

Thank you everyone the helps, it seems like I got the problem solved.

@thenuclearwalrus: probably you won, it must be the windows 10.
@Bazinga: thank you the windows compatible things, playing for several minutes, no screen-frezze, after setting it to be compatible in win7. Also thank you the information about addons, been playing for like 10 years with WoW, didn't even recognize that it can be modified :D
I have done already everything in windows 10 to be more safe to use, and I believe it can be used without any harm at all, however I can understand why people don't prefer it.

Gonna edit it if the problem comes up again, really thank you all of you in the topic who replied.
