30 second delay until I can speakl

Does anyone know what causes this to happen? It happens when I'm not even talking. Seems random but can't figure it out

disable all addons and see if it still happens.

it's likely from an addon spamming a chat channel.

Its the chat spam filter kicking in.
Avoid using chat channels until you are at leve level 15 - you risk being (falsely) banned if you continue trying to chat.

Does this apply to /say and /yell as well? Because this the exact reason I decided to register and post on the forums here. I, too, have been finding myself unable to talk for minutes at a time in both global/world channels as well as local chat completely out of the blue. Sometimes, I'll be able to send message after message after message, while other times, I'll end up being unable to say a word for a few minutes. I'd wager the same applies to /me, since it's a custom emote function. Amusingly though, built-in emotes are not subject to this, so I can still /dance, /fart, /train, and the like -- something I can certainly appreciate.

Anyway, good to know there's a legitimate reason for this rather than it being a random bug! Thank you much!

Yeah it is universal on all /

I'm lvl 25 and I rarely if ever speak in general chat or trade. Only time I speak in game is when in a party as I'm usually in Skype with the people I play with..

I'll have to check addons again
