Accidental or Bug of Deletion of Character.

I wanted to delete some of my alts, and I think I accidentially deleted my main character. He was on the PvP server, and was an lvl 36 priest named Ignasi. I was 99,99% sure, that I clicked on my alts, and then I suddenly couldn't find me alt. It's a really shitty start to the new year, and sucks a lot. I can't help not writing this, even if I have read, that you do not revive any deleted character. I just really want to know whether it was a bug or not.
I am quite saddened by this, and if it's not possible what so ever, then let it be, but at least help me to find out, that it wasn't a bug of sorts.
