Concerning accounts being hacked

Hello,
I am still fairly new to Nostalrius and im curious about a couple things.

1. Is it common for accounts to be hacked on these servers?

2. Is there a way for account owners to protect themselves more, ie, an authenticator.

There is no Authenticator for Nostalrius, but, the chances of you getting hacked are the same chances of you getting hacked on retail, without an authenticator of course. They are slim, but it all determines on how well you look after your account, like if you leave your account name on a public computer or post your account name on the forums, then that is 50% of the requirements to hack your account, look after your account name/password, and you will be fine, also if you're concerned about it, perhaps changing your password weekly or monthly might be advised?
