steps to change my pw do not work

by Creepz147 » Sat Jan 09, 2016 3:45 pm

like i previously posted, the steps to change my pw on my account do not work.
simply because when i go to change my password via the forgot password method it says the error "incorrect email or username". The username is not incorrect, because i can log in and out of my account without any problems what so ever. so it is obviously apparent its the email address or some other issue, as i can log in as i want. but i want to change my password for security issues. I have used the same email address for years and maybe when actual,ly creating the account i had slight typo when entering my address.... but they is no way of checking what address the account is registered too as there is no verification?!.whats up with that?. i can log into nostalrius freely as i like but cannot actually do anything for security!.

Somebody must know what i can do/ steps to take..
I can any kinds of proof.
There must be a solution?
please help!

Hey there.

Had a little free time, and also remember that this may be possible through the game client (unless disabled in some way).

.account set password <account name> <new password> <new password>

-without the < and > field markers.

Hope this helps x

That command does not work, I checked the only thing that works is .account which tells you your current account level.

yea the command is indeed disabled
the only option is to use https://en.nostalrius.org/password

if you can't remember your correct email adress your can try this
for chrome user: http://superuser.com/questions/884029/see-all-autofill-data
for firefox user: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/form-history-control/

No of it works.... The in game command doesn't work, tried every variation possible and no luck. Forgot password link also doesn't work. I've even gone as far as creating a new account to the email address I've got my level 60 on and trying to use the forgot password method that way - still doesn't work!. I'm only using an @hotmail.co.uk address, I don't know what's with all the theatrics for something as simple as changing your password.

Also For the links you gave,

I've been trying to reset on my Mac using safari and also on my iPhone using safari.

None of these work.

Is there anyway to already check if you made a typo when entering your address?

Buy a Windows computer... that is pretty much your solution to all Mac problems... but then you get a truck load of Windows problems, but easier to fix ;)

Doesn't help me resetting my password dude,
My mac is fine, in fact less issues than I've ever had with windows.

I just want to change my password! - why is it so difficult! When I can log in and out freely

Was joking my friend, but on a serious note, the reason it may be so hard is, you should always confirm your spelling when creating an account or filling out forms on any website.

Changing your password requires your email, and without it, you're going to have a hard time changing it.
