Help! Click keeps moving camera (Mac running windows ver)

Need help! Finally got the game working on my Mac through Winery but now I'm having an issue while playing the game where whenever I left or right click once, the camera jumps to lock the view onto where I clicked. Tried changing all the interface view options and still kept happening. Can anyone help with this issue?

Aw hold on..I had that problem when I originally used wineskin. I can't recall the specific problem but I believe I had to rewrite the config.wtf file and rewrap it. Took a lot of time tofigure it out. Bottom line is there are mac clients that worked just fine after nost had been up for a couple weeks. Have you tried the link to mac client here?

I'll try to recall what the problem was meanwhile. Was almost a year ago at this point.

I had a problem getting the mac client working and ended up with the windows one just because I wanted to get started playing the game. Anything specific I need to change in the config or any tips?

With the mac client, I had an issue where it would bring me to the terms agreement but wouldn't let me scroll or click accept or decline and I couldn't figure out how to get past this.

hm. gonna be much easier to figure out whats wrong with the mac client. I was just looking over the original help file I wrote for using wineskin and I made no mention of an issue with the config file...so that file must be downloaded fresh with signing on and be happy to sit outside the wrapped up application. let me get a clean copy of the config.wtf file for you to paste into the mac client. could be a simple setting for your mouse or scroll that wont let ya get through the page.

Use your simple text program to open up config.wtf, it's in the WTF folder.

copy this below and write it overtop of whatever is in there.

Thanks for all the help but unfortunately that didn't seem to fix the issue. Such a minor thing but really difficult to play with...

I think what happened was after having the difficulties you are having...i went back and rewarpped the whole thing again and it worked OR I decided the original client wasn't working and downloaded elsewhere and made a new wrapper.

for the hell of it..throw away the WTF and WDB folders and try again. And use simpletext to look into realm list.wtf and make sure it says---> set realmlist login.nostalrius.org

Tried re-wrapping and deleting all the folders and setting the realmlist.wtf but none seem to work. I may deal with it for now and use an older laptop to play.

Thanks a ton Diametra for your help though! Just being able to play vanilla wow again is pretty good.

Okay guys so after about a month of searching and trying to avoid playing vanilla on my macbook I found the solution. It was posted in this form. There are a few other solutions, all towards the bottom on that page, just in case this doesn't work for you. I took the original instructions and tried to make them easier to follow.

Go to http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/ and download the latest version of XQuartz for mac. This wont harm your computer, I checked it. (If you believe me).
You may need to log off and back on for the driver to finish update.
Go to the Wineskin Winery wrapper (in the Finder) that contains the WoW-client, right click and select "show package contents"
Double click the Wineskin App looking button, this will open the screen you used to install the client in the wrapper. Select "Set screen options" and choose to "Use Mac Driver instead of X11."
Click "Done", exit the program and start your new and fully functional WoW client!!

This got it going for me. Feel free to Pst me in game if you need help I'm playing as thehorde right now, or post here and I will try and look back and answer some questions/hopefully read success stories.
