Bannable Macro?

Hi guys, so I am raiding, and I have to push one button as fast as I can to ensure I am doing optimal healing/tanking/dps, and after a few hours, my finger starts to REALLY hurt.

I have made a short macro in autohotkey that will repeat a key while it is held down. Like, I hold down the key "R" and it will do "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR", so I only have to hold the key down, and not mash it constantly.

Is this bannable? It is obviously only just repeating the key I already have held down at a rate of 10 times per second, so I am not botting or anything, but I just want to make sure I won't get banned for using this. It would reduce the pain I get in my index finger if I could just hold the button down instead of hitting it as fast as possible.

Any feedback would be great, thank you

I made it in autohotkey. All it does is repeat the button "R" so long as it is held down.

If there is a way to make a repeatable macro in-game, please let me know!

I just don't want my fingers hurting after playing for a while, is all.

I would just suggest taking frequent breaks. Not worth beating your fingers up just to play wow.

Not possible when your guild expects you to play for 4-6 hours in a row. It's not something that goes away within 5 minutes. Once the pain has set in, it's with me for the rest of the day. I can end up pushing a button 30,000 times in one raid.

I'd much rather be able to hold the button down, and have it "push" itself.

Sadly it's a 3rd party software, so this is against the ToU and can result in a ban.
But I've heard that there are ways to bind stuff on mousewheel, perhaps this should do?

Oh, damn. Is there not an addon that I could use? There is Snowfall (that I use) that triggers hotkeys on their down-push, rather than their release. So surely there must be an addon out there that will continuously spam the hotkey while it is pushed.

The mousewheel would probably be worse. I would be able to get more "clicks" in per finger push, but I would have to push my finger further. At the moment, I am just pushing my finger up and down about 5mm every half second. If I were to use my scrollwheel, I would have to push my finger forwards about 3cm every 2 seconds. So either way, I'm stuck with the same problem, just a variation of the problem.

Yet another player forgot this is a game and not a job.

What class need to push a button twice per second? I know mage is a one-button class, but even there a cast takes 1.5s (?). Healers don't use same healing type or rank or target, and most other DPS classes and tanks have rotations.

Hello!

Using any form of third-party software to execute some sort of an action is against the Terms of Use (https://en.nostalrius.org/terms-of-use) Such actions can be met with a permanent closure of the account. And it is therefore highly recommened to avoid using these.

Hello, i have been playing videogames for 15 years.

mashing buttons harder does not make them activate faster, hitting and breaking your keyboard is also not conducive to skilled play.

Its also very likely you are young by the way you post, you should not be spending 4-6 hours playing wow.

Lastly, your situation is so ambiguous that it leads me to believe that you are trying to break the game in some manner and infact not trying to hit the same button over and over, and for the life of me i cant imagine any skills holds the notion that it should be spammed over and over in under 1 second when the global cooldown of skills is 1.5 seconds (ithink)
