/say bug

ok so i am trying to use /say but as soon as i write a message and hit enter nothing comes from my character, like i didn't even send a message.. What is a problem ? /yell also doesn't work for me, /w works good.

level 7 at the time this happened. I didn't use global channales, only regular /say

Greetings,
to combat spam, we have multiple chat restrictions in place. They get lifted the higher your character is. So there shouldn't be a problem for you once you level a little more.

thanks very much, i thought the game i downloaded was bugged or addons i installed were making me trouble.
