Grade and HV for life

in the last couple of days, I took part in quite a lot of PvP fights accounting for a total of 16 HV. Today ranks were supposed to be updated, but instead of an update, I got a total reset of HVs. The friend who fought with me in Ashenvale and who had exactly the same amount of HVs got to the soldier rank and still has in his character's infos 16 VH for life. However my PvP stats were completely reset and when I go in my character's infos, I have 0 VH, no grade...
I'm just wondering how this could happen, if it's a bug (which I think it is) or if I did something wrong and, if it's a bug, how it can be fixed.
