Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I'm sorry if this has been addressed previously but I've read through the stickied topics on connection issues and am still unable to login. I get stuck on the "logging into server" prompt for about 10 seconds then get booted back to the realm list. I am able to login to an alternate (pve) realm just fine, but not when logging into the pvp realm my character is on. I was initially disconnected from the game after being unable to talk to a flight path npc in Thunderbluff.

I have tried deleting wtf/wdb/interface folders, port forwarding, running as admin, reinstalling, changing the realmlist.wtf and waiting a few hours all to no avail.

please help!
