Is gold transfer via neutral AH legal?

Hi,

Just wondering if it's legal to transfer gold through the neutral AH from a Horde character to an Alliance character if both of them are mine (and on the same account).

Greetings,

Yes this is fine as long as the gold has not been illegally obtained. It is not transferring gold on the neutral AH that gets players banned, it is buying, selling, or transferring illegally obtained gold that does. Also, be careful not to multibox to do it.

Note that you will need to have the Alliance and Horde characters on different accounts, as the game will not let you buy auctions from yourself.

Also be careful if you attempt to transfer gold by selling a high value item for a low price (and then sell it on the other side). There are AH snipers that can buy it out from under you very quickly - and that is allowed as long as they are not botting. It's much safer to transfer gold by selling a low value item for a high price and absorb the 15% loss that is incurred.
