[Graphics] Why is the farclip setting maxed at 777?

As the title asks, why is "farclip" capped at 777 and not higher? This is also with the "farclipoverride 1" set.

The results are highly intolerable especially for PvP. I highly doubt the reason "because it's Vanilla - deal with it", because 777 is less than the diameter of Blacksmith island in Arathi Basin, and in blizz-like Vanilla you could see enemies at Blacksmith from Lumber Mill. :?

Is there a way to change this?

Also, I happen to be seeing enemies and creatures fighting friendly units that won't "load"/appear until they are within ~1/3 of my farclip distance... this is also problematic. :(

Greetings,

while the client can adjust the view distances for personal preferences, it is actually determined by the server. When a zone is under heavy load, the server dynamically reduces the view distance to keep server-side delay under control.
