is this indeed a bug? I also noticed dazed/poison effects penetrating my PWS.

Poison effects do indeed penetrate PW:S, but that is blizz-like. If the poison causes damage however, the damage should be absorbed. This is working correctly right now on Nostalrius. The dazed effect however should be prevented entirely

Can confirm that PW:S does not prevent daze on this server and it is supposed to. Played a priest on live back in vanilla for a long time.

Mana Shield and Ice Barrier for mages are similarly bugged.
