Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I made a bank char that I made on day of release and since then have been mailing that char all my herbs and ore etc. But when I log in on the account it was on the char is not there but the char name has been taken still, do characters get deleted if they are not logged in on for a while (if they are level 1)?
