4:3 aspect resolution problem and fix

I was having a problem like many people where only 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions would be displayed as resolution options up to 1600x1200 in the game client even though I had been running the game on my main monitor at 2560x1440 with no problems. After trying almost everything else posted, including making sure config.wtf attributes weren't set to read-only, running the client as administrator, unplugging all other monitors connected, performing a clean install of the video card drivers among others.
I started thinking about what changes to software and hardware that I had made recently, and the only 2 things I changed was I updated my Geforce video cards driver, and enabling the onboard graphics in the bios settings/installing the latest driver for it so I could use Quicksync to convert video files quicker. So as a test I opened up my device manager in Win10 and disabled the Intel HD 4600 display adapter leaving my GTX 780 enabled with the monitor plugged into it. It worked perfectly, now I am able to run my resolution back up to 2560x1440. I then closed the client, went back into the device manager and enabled the Intel HD Graphics and opened the client and it went back to 4:3 aspect ratio resolutions of up to 1600x1200. If you don't need Intel Quicksync, or the IGP to drive monitors you can simply disable the IGP in your bios settings for the same effect and save some resources on top of it.
This will be a widespread problem with people running modern Intel processors w/ IGP enabled and a discreet Nvidia graphics card. Perhaps with AMD hardware as well but I can't test it as I don't own any modern AMD hardware.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO those of you with this problem, give it a try.
