Can't speak in global chat channel

Hello,
Whenever I log in, I am able to, at first, speak in General Chat, Trade Chat, etc. But every time, without fail, at some point during my time logged in, I will randomly no longer be able to chat in these channels. Typing /1 will do nothing. Even closing the game and re-opening and logging back in does not fix this. It just eventually restores itself I guess. It's a pain in the ass.

Greetings,
Blame the gold sellers. We have had to put into place a chat spam filter for low level characters as a result. Once you hit level 15, most restrictions are removed.

Try deleting your chat cache for that character. It can be found inside the WTF folder. That usually fixes chat problems.

I tried doing what GM Pottu suggested. It did not fix my issue.
I am lvl 39. Randomly at times I cannot chat in General Chat. What is the deal?? -_-
If it is seriously because of the gold sellers, then we really need a better system in place. This really affects gameplay in a negative way.

If you're at 39, the anti-spam measures are not affecting you. The issue is either an addon that is messing up with chat channels - and many of them do - or some sort of desync issue with the server, that can be fixed by typing
/leave General
/join General
You can replace "General" with the name of any other chat channel, like Trade or LookingForGroup. I would not recommend using numbers as those can change.

Yes that's my issue as well. I have two mid-30s characters and those are who I am having trouble speaking with.
Like I said, I'm always able to speak when I first log in, but then randomly I'll no longer be able to speak in the chats. I can still whisper people, /say, talk in party, but not in the global chat channels.

Every day at some point, General, Trade and World chat stop allowing me to talk. I can't even /leave them in order to rejoin.
As much as I greatly appreciate being able to play Vanilla WoW for free, having to delete my chat cache and set up all my chat panels every day (sometimes more often) is a pain in the arse I'd prefer not to have to deal with, especially if I'm gonna be playing for months.
I'd like to know if the Nost admins have any plans to resolve this "chat desync" issue, which seems to be affecting a lot of people.

It is not affecting "a lot of people", I can tell you that.
Another trick that can work is that you leave all chat channels - both by unticking them through the Chat window, as well as typing /leave General /leave Trade /leave LocalDefense and so on for each. Then log out and completely close the client. When you log back in, you can then join the channels you use normally.
If you ever get disconnected from the game, always close the client completely before relogging - otherwise your chat might get messed up.

I've heard a ton of people complaining about it over the past few months, so I guess our opinions differ.

Sometimes I can't leave the channels at all though. I have to delete my chat cache and pull all my chat windows back where they were every time this happens which feels like an unnecessary chore, but I appreciate you making it clear that it's not considered a very important issue so I don't have to be disappointed when it stays how it is, perhaps permanently.
