Mac client alttab?

So I cant tab out of wow client on mac? trying the normal cmd+shift that you normally do to alt tab on mac doesnt work and using actual alt tab just takes a step back (as in if you try to alt tab in character select it takes you to login screen and if u do it again it closes the game down and you have to restart)

its kinda annoying xD that I cant do other things in the meanwhile a way to fix this or other buttons im supposed to use?
