Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I accidentally clicked on the Unfired Ancient Blade, which is part of the Quel'Serrar questline. I did this on 3/6/2016 at 23:55 (my local time was showing 3/17/2016 17:55 US EST)

My character's name is Faboo on the PVE server.

Per some advice given in this thread: https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic. ... ar#p160047 , I made it back to the library to get another blade, but was unable to obtain one from the questgiver.

I have a GM ticket open in game and I did NOT attempt to drop the quest for fear of making things worse.

I hope you can help by restoring the Unfired Ancient Blade to my bags.

Your best bet is going to be waiting for a response in game.

Abandon and retake the quest

Just a follow up for others who may be in the same boat.

As noted in the original post, I had contacted a GM in-game.

Within 24 hrs, I found a message in my mailbox advising that, yes, I would have to abandon the current stage of the quest I was on and pickup the quest (and quest item) from the questgiver in the Dire Maul Library.

I did just that and while the quest (and chain) disappeared completely from my quest log, the questgiver in the DM Library did, indeed, offer the next step in the quest chain and restored the item to my bags.

Now, off to Ony!
