Multiboxing

I received a warning regarding Multiboxing, I have read the rules of this server and am a bit perplexed. It states the multiboxing is defined as multiple game instances on either a single or multiple computers. My problem with this is, when my nephew comes over we play together, yes we have two game instances on separate computers from the same location, but how is this any different than two players at different locations. With that I will say my nephew is young and his attention does wander and he does like to put his toon on follow (a lot) but I do not play his character for him. I will move from one game zone to another with follow ...ie traversing Wetlands to get to Dun Morough, which is where this report likely came from. However I have told him if he is not there to play all I will do is move to an Inn and turn off the game. I would appreciated an explaination as to why this is a bannable offense.

Playing multiple people from same IP is no problem, but there are some basic rules you should follow to avoid getting into trouble - the most important is indeed to never use /follow since technically you ARE multiboxing. And if you get caught by a GM and your nephew isn't there, you just saw what happened.

If your nephew needs to go AFK, let him do that - but for your own safety NOT go on follow.
