For the past month or two, I have been experiencing massive fps drop in specific areas. I would possition my self inside the auction house @ Orgrimmar, and little by little my fps goes down, where it stops reducing at around 20-25 fps or so. The situation is quickly remedied by stepping outside of the auction house area, where the fps will go back to normal.
So, the question is, what gives?
Have nos admins implemented a server side code to reduce client-side frames per second in higly populated areas in order to try reduce overall network load ?
I know clientside fps and the connection to the server has a relation, using this knowledge, it makes sense that something has changed. It did not always use to be like this.
