Unable to Shift-Click on Player Names

I logged in yesterday and began playing as usual, but when i tried to shift click on players names for their info, nothing happens. this problem only affects one of my characters, it works fine on my alt. I tried everything from re logging, uninstalling, deleting the wtf folder wdb etc, /reloadui and default my key bindings. nothing works. if anyone knows how to resolve this please let me know!
