Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Ok so im 8 damn lvls higher than this quest and the mobs are absolutely, IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. let a lone that fact.. there are no dead ones laying around the zone.. with the amount of questing going on currently, theres no reason i wouldnt see at least A FEW layin around.. but no.. fix this quest plz as it leads to many other quests within the damn zone... THANKS... ffs

Indeed it is... I didn't really notice many issues when in the earlier levels but I've noticed as I get higher there is the odd quest which has incorrect mobspawns or the mobs simply dont exist. Another recent one that springs to mind is "The Swarm Grows" in Shimmering Flats where there are like a billion drones and only 1 invader spawn location, takes 30 minutes just to complete the quest if you camp the spawn of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand it's supposed to work like this; mob x,y,z can spawn in one location. Player kills mob x, when the respawn timer is up any one of mobs x,y or z can respawn in that location. I know this isn't the case for everything, but it is for some and I'm finding a few quests like the swarm one with heaps of one mob and 1-2 of the others.

Is this going to be adressed one day? For most things it's a minor inconvenience, for severe instances its a huge bottleneck

they are implemented, i was able to find some with my arcane explosion and a hunter mate with his flare. but its actually a bug that u cant see!

I did this quest with no problems at all, I just checked out the quest on db.vanillagaming.org and looked up the spawnpoints and used arcane explosion (rank 1) around the spawnpoints and got the quest done in about 15-20 mins.

And I was 2 lvls above the recommended lvl.

Yeah doable as a class with an aoe, otherwise ya stuffed cause the mobs are invis and dont become visible even if standing ontop of them

Okey, how you do this quest (If it's still bugged)

If you have a AOE-Spell, use it on the places where they spawn.
If you don't have an AOE, Like Rogues. You can do the following:
A: Find someone or a group that can help you get it.
B: Spec combat, use Blade Furry on a mob and kite that mob around and hope you hit something.
If you are a Warrior just get some rage and use Thunderclap on the places.

It was never bugged, the NPCs are just neutral so they won't attack you even if you are close, they are stealthed and you need to attack them first to get them to attack you (to reveal them).

Best thing is to look for a mage/warlock or something like that and get him to AoE around the spawnpoints that you can look up on db.vanillagaming.org

Use demo shout instead, should have higher range and costs much less rage.

Can this not be done on my shaman? Been trying for an hour now using fire nova totem and have yet to find a damn thing.
