Missing quest, Druid of the Claw

I did the first quest for Oben Rageclaw, The Sleeping Druid, but I was unable to pick up the followup quest to kill his body and place the charm on it. I was level 9 when this happened. I figured I had to be level 10 to do the quest, but when I reached level 10 and went back to Oben, the quest was still gone. Is this quest missing or broken, or am I doing something wrong?

I experienced the same issue as a level 13 human priest. Night elf party members couldn't pick up the quest either, not that it's supposed to be exclusive to them.

No response after several days? This is getting tiresome. I thought this was a server that prided itself on being as blizzlike and professional as possible?

The quest is not available because the reward are not from pre 1.4.

Already have, but it's extremely discouraging to see broken or missing quests, and then receive no word on a fix. Makes me wonder if other, more important quests are also broken or missing.

Patch 1.5.0 (2005-06-07): The Druid of the Claw quest in Teldrassil will now provide a weapon choice more appropriate for low level Night Elves.
So what? You don't have the old quest item in a DB so you said fuck that, no quest at all?

You will notice other missing quests if you use a leveling guide or go by 1.12 database. Quests which were added in later patches are not in the game yet, as we are on patch 1.3 currently. This is a conscious decision, not an oversight.
