Fargodeep mine / chat bugs?

I couldn't complete the Fargodeep exploration quest in the human starting zone.

When I was seeking help for this quest I found out that the chat stops working randomly for a random amount of time.

When I whispered someone they said the chat problem is bug in Blizzard's game, not the server. Funny this is the first time I've seen it despite playing on vanilla private servers in the past.....

When I whispered that same person, they told me that I probably need to walk (not run) through the mine in order to complete the quest. Call me privileged, but I find that unacceptable. Are all exploration quests this bugged? Is it just a safe bet to ignore them? Is there another type of quest that's impossible to complete that I should just avoid? Or is it just the Fargodeep mine? Or am I just wrong and I'm "doing it wrong"?

And is there a possible fix to the really annoying chat bug, or is it an inevitable problem we all have to deal with? IMO if this was a live bug that lasted all the way up to 1.12, I'd think World of Warcraft as a whole would lose its social aspect and not become as popular as it did get. But that's just me.

You have been trolled in a major way.

The chat restrictions are in place to combat gold sellers that unfortunately do exist on Nostalrius. They are lifted as you reach level 15. As for Fargodeep Mine, running does work, just make sure you explore the entire mine to trigger the quest to be completed.
