Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

So, after chatting with several hunters and getting dps info from them regarding their pets, I decided to test this myself. As you can see, there is a huge variance between the raptor and cat. My cat is barely able to hold aggro w/ max claw,bite,growl with this kind of dps.

EDIT: The devs have told me they are working on analyzing and setting correct pet DPS - This isnt a flame thread, just something to bring awareness so everyone on either side of the argument can cool their jets, and look at some actual hard evidence.

EDIT2: After talking to several 60 hunters w/ 60 cat pets - the consensus is the cat dps is 51.6 - Which is quite a bit lower than I remember in vanilla.

Does the pet level difference not matter? 29 - 30.

It matters a tad. I think when my cat went from 28 to 29 he gained .8 dps or so.

Raptor attack speed still broken. Should be 2.0. If you use that attack speed, raptor's dps should be 25.75 roughly which seems right.

I'm afraid that the devs used the inflated raptor #s to nerf all the pets damage, which would obviously of been too far skewed. Truly the non-raptor pets are far too weak currently.

raptors should have, as well as cat, 64.7 dps at lvl 60 (no BM spec, +125% hapiness)

All pets were originally too strong. Now it seems as though only raptors are the strong ones. As someone else mentioned, ~64 dps is the baseline for "high" dps pets non BM specced. As long as its based around that and scaled linearly downwards it'll be fine.
