Chat broken

Hey,
i had terrible laggs after i logged in today so i decided to relog.. Once i managed to get ingame again i realized my interface was resetted and every single chat was disabled (which is very strange), so i adjusted the interface and joined the channels (trade/general, activated the display for whispers/grp chats/guildchat etc) which then worked again like they used to, but there are still a few problems:
1. i dont see when friends go online/offline in the chat anymore
2. i dont see the battleground notifications when someone picks up a flag / returns a flag and so on
3. trade skill improvements (e.g when you pick up a flower and your herb skill increases from 80 to 81) dont show up anymore
4. alt + shift wont give me any information about a person who wrote something in any kind of chat ( class, level, race, area, guild)
5. /played wont work either
I tried to reset my interface, create new chatwindows etc but nothing works
Is there any way to fix this?

go to your "WTF" folder inside your wow folder
search for "chat-cache" and delete them all
configure ur chat again and if this helped tank a brd for me )

Hi casualz,

Edit: follow TaurenRogue's recommendation first.

It sounds like data in your WTF and/or WDB folder may have become corrupt. I would start by deleting or renaming both folders in your WoW install directory.

If you used the Nostalrius Installer and installed to the default directory than also delete both folders from C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft Classic

If it continues then disable all addons.

If it continues then backup your addons and reinstall to a different location, preferably the root directory such as C:\World of Warcraft Classic or D:\World of Warcraft Classic.

Thanks.
