Mac Camera/Mouse Issue

I am currently playing a Windows client through Wineskin on my Mac and I'm having issues when left/right clicking with my mouse. When I go to click a target the camera will jump to a different position - it doesn't spin around or anything like I've read in some other threads - it simply shoots to look a different direction.

This is particularly frustrating because I am constantly spinning the camera back around towards the target/NPC I was attempting to click. While it is manageable at low levels and soloing, instances and pvp are near impossible to play effectively.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Or does anyone have any idea what the issue might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I had the same situation. Could not resolve it. I switched to a mac client once the boat/zeppelin problem was fixed. there are still some mac specific problems, but not as bad as wineskin version.

I had exactly the same problem with WineSkin. Switching to CrossOver resolved the issue. Or try the Mac client as Diametra suggested.

Just in case someone affected on Windows comes across this thread. I had the same problem and I fixed it by right clicking the WoW.exe Shortcut > 'Properties' > 'Compatibility' Tab > Check 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'.

Okay guys so after about a month of searching and trying to avoid playing vanilla on my macbook I found the solution. It was posted in this form. There are a few other solutions, all towards the bottom on that page, just in case this doesn't work for you. I took the original instructions and tried to make them easier to follow.

  1. Go to http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/ and download the latest version of XQuartz for mac. This wont harm your computer, I checked it. (If you believe me).
  2. You may need to log off and back on for the driver to finish update.
  3. Go to the Wineskin Winery wrapper (in the Finder) that contains the WoW-client, right click and select "show package contents"
  4. Double click the Wineskin App looking button, this will open the screen you used to install the client in the wrapper. Select "Set screen options" and choose to "Use Mac Driver instead of X11."
  5. Click "Done", exit the program and start your new and fully functional WoW client!!

This got it going for me. Feel free to Pst me in game if you need help I'm playing as thehorde right now, or post here and I will try and look back and answer some questions/hopefully read success stories.
