Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Can't use World, Trade, General chat and so on even though i have joined them. This has been a problem ever since i joined but has been nothing but a small inconvenience until now. Can someone help me? I tried all kinds of diferend things Like deleting the WTF forlder and such.

That is the problem. Nothing happens.

I enter the game and type (/join world ) and then when I try to use the channel nothing happens. If I'm in guild chat and try to use the world chat or general chat nothing happens and it just gives me the option to type in guild chat.

The first time that happened I thought that maybe I didn't actually join the chat so I tried again and it showed that I'm already in. I tried exiting the chat and joining again and even deleting the interface, wtf and wdb folders and that didn't do anything.

It's really hard organizing groups when you can't use anything but /say /guild /party. I resort to screaming in Org.

Click on your chat (General) and then settings and try checking the boxes.

What happens if you try on another character that's at least level 10? For testing purposes, have you tried reinstalling using the Nostalrius Installer to a new location and testing before modifying any settings or adding any addons?

Are all of your boxes checked in "Global Channels"?

I have personally ran into this issue a couple of times. It was an addon issue for me. downgraded Atlasloot (I apparently has one from BC) and all was well. Are all your addons up to date/vanilla? Try disabling all of them and enable one by one to find the culprit.

Nah my addons are all up to date and atlas loot is pre TBC. I'll try with a clean install.

Anyways I tried with a clean install without any addons or anything and I still can't use the chat.
