Uldaman's End Boss - Is It A Legit Strategy?

Uldaman's end boss (Archaedas) is almost unkillable by 99% of parties. He spawns four big adds that kill the party fast. Even if the tank is fast enough to get aggro of all that adds it doesn't save the situation: healer usually can't heal that damage. Adds hit too hard.
In addition you have the only one try because of bugged door that is closed when you pull the boss and never opens after wipe.
There's one strategy that makes possible to kill him. Some parties pull the boss out of his room and run to the upper room where they nuke him while adds are running from the bottom room.
Is it a legit startegy or some kind of exploit and we will get banned?

I'd like to know this, too. There are quite a few Vanilla bosses that you pull out of their main rooms to get a more favourable engagement, and those aren't exploits. If Blizzard intended a boss to be fought in a very specific room, they'd have a barrier spawn in the door or make the boss leash.

I'm pretty sure all bosses that had solid doors would leash or not travel threw them, but regardless that end event does seem quite a bit over-tuned.

Archaedas was always one of the most difficult bosses in the game.

Or just get a mage and frost nova all the adds, that's how we did it in a group of 42s

Our strat was to kill all the adds until the 4 golems and then blow cooldowns and nuke the boss. All stack on the boss, so that the tank can have an easier time grabbing the golems.

I personally wouldn't do it yet. Who knows if this is considered an exploit and the group gets a perma ban. Wait for staff to confirm.

He spawns 4 adds at the end? That would not be right. On vanilla retail it was 2.

Yeah, he spawns 4 and the only way to do it is to have enough damage to nuke the boss before that happens. It is doable but not for every party as you have to juggle killing the little adds before the swarm the party while still dealing enough damage on the boss itself.

Well I checked it in my vanilla dungeon companion and it also says there it should be 2 adds in the end. Seems like a wrong script to me then.
