Is this bannable?

I would like a confirmation if the following is against the rules, or if it is bannable.
I am lvl60, and I wanna boost my friend through instances, and on retail there was a period where this was possible: You pull the mobs, and right before they die due to aoe, you jump out so your mate gets all the XP. I'm not even sure if it is possible on this patch, but dont wanna get banned because trying it.

I'd hold off on it. Make a physical harassment ticket in game with this question and see what a GM says, and then screenshot it if he says "go ahead". As long as it's two players playing and not just you multiboxing, of course.

I did everything as you described, and the answer was a quick yes. However, the method doesn't even work, the mobs got bugged and ran out of the instance, my remaining damaging spells in the instance disappeared.
