Hi there,

I am not sure if my account was closed or if I am having connection issues. I do not know why it would have been closed. I have received some errors before saying that it was closed, but I usually keep trying and am able to ultimately log in. This time it won't work no matter what I do.

My account name is Raimos. I don't believe I have done anything banworthy. Character name is Chop, 60 warlock. Greatly appreciate any assistance. Connecting from Australia is tough enough, not enjoying seeing that my account has been closed!

The mentioned account; Raimos has never been banned and should be able to log in just fine.
However, we're running a system, that makes sure people who write password wrong, gets a few minute block from loggin' in, and the message they'll receive can sometimes be banned or locked account.
Just try again, and use the right password.

I did manage to get in. Had to mess around with administrator settings and whatnot - kind of odd but we're all clear. Thanks for your quick reply.

Once again, I have been having the same problem this entire day. It's gotten to the point where I barely even recall my password because I'm constantly trying to enter it and second-guessing myself. Help?

Been saying "Unable to connect" or "Your account has been closed" for the past 24 hours. Pretty much a coin flip between which message I get

Also please note that I can type in *any* password and I will receive the same set of messages.

Can you please check if something is wrong with my account? Nobody else I know has this problem and it has happened to me multiple times.

And now I got in after about 30 tries. Is there any explanation? This happens multiple times a week to me.

There is no message prompt specific to typing in an incorrect password when logging in. In other words, if you don't use the correct password when logging in, you won't see the "The information you entered is not valid" message. Instead, you will actually see an "Unable to connect" message.

That means the "Unable to connect" can actually be misleading since it's not a connectivity problem but rather a simple login problem. If you're frequently second guessing yourself when it comes to entering your password, you might want to try changing it to something else, but this requires either logging into the game and changing it in-game or sending a private message to one of the admins (Viper or Daemon) with your account information asking them to change it.

And then of course, if you fail to login repeatedly, after a certain number of failures, the server will temporarily ban your account to prevent others from brute-force hacking your account/password. This might explain why when you have login problems and try over 30 times to login, it sometimes says your account is closed in which you have to wait for the ban to expire before trying again.

Edit: Tried entering a wrong password on purpose and it does indeed display the "Unable to connect" message. Amended my post to accurately reflect this.
