Checking For Name Clearing/Addon Error

by Derik » Tue Apr 14, 2015 8:56 pm

Hiya so my first question is that I was just wondering if the staff were able or willing to clear inactive names! My 2nd question is: I've been trying to download some addons, however I get Diagnostic messages after trying to extract them to my addons folder saying that Access is Denied or The system cannot find the path specified, is there a fix for this? Thank you!

Hey Derik,

1. I'd recommend searching the suggestions section to see if this has already been posted and if not than please post your suggestion there.

2. Have you tried extracting the addons to a folder such as your desktop and then drag them into the addons folder?

If you're still having issues than please provide the path to your WoW installation.

If you installed at the default location: c:\Program Files\World of Warcraft Classic, then that would be your issue. Follow what Snow240 said or give your extracting program Admin privileges. To do this, right click your program and click "Run as Administrator."

Awesome thanks guys! Just extracted them to my desktop and cut/paste into the clients files, worked like a charm, really appreciate it!
