Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

We were told by GM Demonix that he was not able to spawn mobs because he wasn't an admin an no admins were online. Then we were told to PM an admin on the forums to petition for an extended raid ID to not lose out on the boss for the week since no admin would be up during our raid to do it for us and it was reset night. We create our PM and call the raid.

I wake up this morning and we no longer have an MC raid ID, meaning it reset and did not get extended. I'm wondering if we are going to lose out on Rag loot for a week because this server hasn't staffed itself appropriately to have an admin on for US players during their raid times and we just have to deal with it?

We're prolly just gonna have to deal with it for now until they hire another admin for US/NA hours or ensure that problems with rag don't occur anymore.

Maybe he should pay for them to staff the server appropriately? Free server struggle.

As the powers an admin is receiving, it's a too big risk to just give someone the powers and especially a big server like this. Trust is 100% needed for a role like admin, and as the staff is as new as it is, no-one have gained this trust yet.
With that being said, we strive for the permanent fix, and not the temporarily fixes for the individuals.

And to be able to pay the staff, the owners would need an income from the server, not just the donations. - This could be the donations that other servers are offering, which is the ability to pay for gear, gold, level etc. That would mean the blizz-like feeling is gone.

If you mean that the blizz-like feeling would be gone if the owners had income from the server, I'd like to know why

Still no response a day later. Morale is at an all-time low.

I've been cordial with the staff members, as seen in my PM to staff; I would at least like the courtesy of a response.

"Well, we only deal in permanent fixes, not temporary solutions. Now go fuck yourself and don't come back for a week while I fire the cook."

The blizz-like feeling is already gone. Altering parts of the server you feel like altering, while keeping in other elements beyond the 1.4 patch isn't blizz-like. Customizing the herb/mining spawns to your personal liking isn't blizz-like. Rag being tauntable isn't blizz-like. So regardless of your inability to properly staff, the blizz-like feel is pretty far in the tank right now anyway. You say you care about the permanent fix and not the temorary fix; however, you temperately fixed mob aggro to reset faster than normal in order to cover up the inability to fix mobs following you indefinitely. The leash rate for mobs currently is still a "temporary fix" and not a permanent on, which, is also not blizz-like. Your attempt at transparency is pretty disrespectful to the communities' intelligence.

I appreciate the work you do to maintain this customized vanilla server; but you seriously need to fix your administration and governing flaws.

Suspect you will have to deal with it.
For example we never got loot from our first Ragnaros kill, despite contacting GMs as were told.

False analogy.

The reality is that there are a limited number of developers and administrators, who also have a limited amount of time available to them. Thus it is better to prioritize their time to working towards a permanent fix that will help all players who raid. I understand that it is very frustrating to have one evening go to waste like this but, as Metzu wrote, everyone here is working as unpaid volunteers. Please have patience.
