Unable to log in at a different location

Heya.
I am having a login issue,
I currently live at two places, in the weekdays at my school, and in the weekend I live with my better half (this is in another city).
Anyway. I created my account at my school at I have been playing with no problems whatsoever.
However, now being at my other home I am unable to connect.
When I type in my password it give me "Connecting" and then after a short while "Disconnected".
What could be the cause of this, and is there a remedy?
EDIT:
So after 8 hours of fiddling with my landlords router and 3 calls to the ISP support center, I finally managed to set the ports needed to be open to be able to play.
I hoped it had been a different problem. Anyway. It's solved.
