Help someone in the same house.

Hi there,
I live with my wife and we are both playing on nostalrius. She's 20 or 21 lvl at the moment and I am 40. I would like to help her to do Wailing Caverns and maybe later some other dungeons. Thing is, I heard that some people were banned for doing thing like this, because they did this to help their own char (from another account).
My question is, can I help my wife through a dungeon while we have the same IP adress, or will it be considered as a bannable behaviour ?
I really don't want to get banned so I didn't try it before asking here.
Thanks,

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8How about multi-boxing and bots ?
You're not allowed to use any form of program to control multiple characters at once. We only allow 2 characters online simultaneously for professions (not involving any kind of farming) and banking items (e.g creating an item and/or inserting an item). This means you cannot /follow or level 2 characters at once. This will result in a ban of one of the two, and if repeated, both. It is also not a problem if you are, for instance, three family members in the same house, playing at the same time. Each multi-box case will be judged individually, so don't worry if you're not doing anything wrong. What you can't do, is PvP with multiple characters, Dungeon with multiple characters, Raid with multiple characters, etc.
If you are two people playing two characters - no problem. If you are 5 people playing 5 characters - no problem.
Wait for a green answer, but according to the bold&underlined items, it seems ok

Haha yeah

I meant do I have to do something special to let them know before I do it or they will check by themselves ?

Flex, my boyfriend and I have been playing for roughly the last week together [same house] and haven't run into any issues so far. I think usually mutli-boxing is pretty obvious because the characters move kind of weirdly, cast at the same time, etc. we also usually run dungeons and things with a few other people so there's messages being sent in party chat as well.
also: from my understanding if they think you're multi-boxing or botting they'll usually send test whispers to see if you respond, so talking to strangers in this case might be a good idea. ;D

Thank you Gazelle, I really understand your point. Thing is here I will run WC alone with my war for my wife char. And we will be ony the 2 of us in the dungeon. But 2 not me alone with 2 char ^^

Greetings Flex,
as long as you are two actual human beings playing two characters, it is not a problem at all and you won't get banned. Don't put either character on /follow for extended periods because that is indeed suspicious.
Happy gaming!

The only reason people have been getting banned for running two or more characters through dungeons or questing together is because most of the time they are not in fact two unique players, but rather one player controlling two accounts (Multiboxing) with one of them set to /follow the other. It's pretty obvious when people are doing this and it differs greatly from, say, two unique players controlling their own characters independently.
Long story short, as long as you and your wife are both controlling your own characters independently and not /following for long, extended amounts of time, you'll be fine. I dare even say you could /follow for short amounts of time without drawing too much attention. There's a huge difference between /following for a five minute bathroom break and /following for three hours while you run the same dungeon multiple times in a row, the latter of which can land you in trouble. As stated in their terms of use, as long as it's more than one person playing within the house, it won't be a problem.
