Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

Heya.

Just now I was so insanely lucky to find a Big Iron Fishing Pole in one of the cages in the water just outside Shadowprey Village in Desolace.
I was going to brag in the general chat when I realised nothing I typed got shown in the chat.
Shortly afterward I disconnected. When I was able to log back in the fishing pole was gone along with two of the quest items for the Calm Bait quest.

Is there something I can do to get it back?
Obviously I did not think of taking a screenshot since I didn't expect this to happen.

That's alright man. I didn't think you could do anything but I so had hoped you could.
Oh well. I guess I'll find another eventually.
