Why are allies crying so hard?

Why are allies crying so hard?

by saintfire » Tue Apr 28, 2015 9:03 pm

Been seeing allies crying for the past week about how hard it is getting ganked. Well guess what you don't see horde players crying on the forums when we are getting camped by rogue and hunter in un'goro crater. Man up or cry harder.

Allies are just a bunch a noobs. They should man up and kill us instead of whining. The more they whine, the more I kill.

Maybe OP should "man up" and stop insulting people who are just venting about jerks in wPvP.

My experience as a level 49 alliance has been that for every lvl 48-52 alliance player in those questing zones (Searing Gorge, Felwood, Un'goro Cater, parts of Tanaris, and Blasted lands), there are 3-4 lvl 60 horde players who's sole purpose out there is ganking. Unfortunately level 48 gives a huge chunk of honor to a lvl 60, and with world pvp you don't have such bad diminishing returns on your honor per kill. Generally what I've seen is that a player goes to one of these zones to quest, gets farmed by the 20 or so level 60s in full pvp or full tier 1 or better gear that are constantly patroling the zone, tries to quest through it a few times, then gives up and finds a quiet place to simply grind mobs.

A word of advice to those horde players: If you want more level 60 alliance to play against in battlegrounds, you need to let them level up. A LOT of alliance players are going to simply give up on this server once they hit 48+ due to the honor farming.

It's not against the ToS, and hey, it's fair play - PvP server and all that, but the fact that alliance level 60s get instant pvp pops means that the people who want to pvp Alliance side are doing it in Battlegrounds, while horde has to wait an excessively long time for pops. So they end up finding that farming lowbies in their questing zones, inside of their quest hubs, etc, is better honor per hour.

It's unfortunate, it won't stop, and eventually.. it will probably kill off the remainder of the Alliance side population, as more and more are rerolling horde to avoid this... most alliance just want to do PvE, and they can do that just as well horde side. Being 49 I'm pretty invested, and I don't want to give up and reroll, but at this point I'm grinding mobs to level as a warrior, which is horribly inefficient.

Not complaining, but that's just how it is. You can't quest at 49+ as alliance unless you have an escort of level 60s running around with you.

Edit: having 4-5x the population of a regular vanilla server tends to make things even worse.

Alliance need to get out of their cities and help their faction mates out.

I'm going to try to make my point coherently as possible -- sorry if I sound contradictory.

Ganking - it is a way of life on a PvP server. It happens, we're all guilty of it. Red=Dead. This I have no problem with.

Wiping out an enemy quest hub/FP -- also part of the game, I have no problem if this happens -- so long as it isn't a 24/7/365 thing. Players need to be able to turn in and pick up their quests. You can ask for help - but there may not always be other players around in the position (or willing) to hep.

Camping - Now you're starting to be a jerk. Res killing, especially for a half hour our more is just not cool. Its a dick thing to do. We''re all here to play a game and have fun. If your fun is being a dick -- you're making the game not fun for other people. My main is a Rogue, I'll do my best to run away if your camping me but not everybody can do that. You can ask for help.. but there aren't always players able, or willing, to drop what there doing and come help.

After you've killed somebody three or four times -- move on for a while.

Theres no reason for 60s to go out and help since the ones that actually want to PvP are getting instant bg queues.

Its because due to how overcrowded Horde is their queues are threw the roof while allys at 60 get instant queues(even at off hours). This has caused most Horde 60s who are trying to rank to farm 48+ leveling zones to get honor from killing lowbies, they can be there camping these zones for hours on end making leveling impossible.

Horde dont really have this issue since as I said ally 60s get instant queues and as such have no reason to endlessly camping lowbies.
